What is Laser Hair Therapy?
Low-level Laser Hair Therapy, or LLHT is a completely safe hair loss treatment. LLHT devices work by emitting a specific wavelength of light from a laser diode which is able to rejuvenate the cells that hair follicles need for oxygen and nutrients. This process ultimately increases cell metabolism and reduces the effects of dihydrotesterone, also known as DHT.

The History Of Laser Hair Therapy
The beginnings of Laser Hair Therapy go all the way back to the late 1960's when a Hungarian Scientist noticed that lasers were able to grow back hair on the backs of mice. From that time until the turn of the century Low-Level Laser Therapy was used in many medical and veterinary treatment applications. Scientists like Michael R. Hamblin, Harvard-based photo medicine guru and co-inventor of LaserCap®, popularized the use of Laser Treatments for Hair loss in the early 2000s. In 2007 the FDA recognized laser hair therapy as a "non-significant risk" technology and many other devices are in the process of obtaining individual clearances.
